A Legacy of Over 100 Years in Tea Cultivation
Our journey in tea cultivation began in the Shizuoka Prefecture during the 1900s. Over the years, we have dedicated ourselves to crafting Japanese tea that nurtures both the mind and body.
The Foundation of Excellent Tea: Quality Soil
We understand that exceptional tea begins with quality soil, which is regularly analyzed to ensure optimal health. To maintain moisture and vitality, we apply the precise amount of fertilizer as needed, creating an ideal growing environment for our tea plants.
Unlocking Flavor with the Deep Steaming Method
Employing a "deep steaming method," we extend the steaming process to three to four times longer than traditional sencha, resulting in a tea that is both fine and rich in flavor. Each tea bag is crafted from plant-based corn materials and is packaged with care to preserve its freshness for our customers. As we seek to ship our products effectively, we prioritize the safety and satisfaction of those who enjoy our tea.
Towards Organic Cultivation for Better Health
At our farm, our goal is to become an organic tea producer, ensuring delicious offerings for all our customers. While the Japanese agricultural sector traditionally utilizes chemical pesticides and fertilizers, we have chosen a different path. Despite strict regulations aimed at protecting public health, we noticed a troubling rise in allergies and illnesses. Therefore, we are committed to growing tea without the use of any chemicals.
Enhancing Soil Naturally
Organic fertilizers improve soil quality over time compared to quick-acting chemical alternatives. This commitment means we invest significantly more labor into plant care, promoting a sustainable ecosystem for our tea trees. We also engage in manual weeding to protect the delicate tea plants, showcasing the many hands involved in cultivating our tea.
Expert Instructions for Brewing Delicious Tea
To craft the perfect hot tea, use 5g of tea leaves with 300ml of water heated to 100°C, allowing it to brew for 2 minutes. Adjust the quantity as desired for your preference! This method ensures a thorough extraction of catechin and caffeine, providing a warming experience.
For iced tea, steep 5g of tea leaves in 400ml of room-temperature water for an hour, or longer if you’d prefer. This cold brewing method reduces the extraction of bitter compounds, yielding a smoother, fluffier flavor.
